Walt Disney World

I am so excited about my upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. I had asked all of you wonderful readers for tips about how to make it more affordable. One of my readers contacted me and gave me some great tips. I wanted to share all of her great tips with all of you.

1. Buy ponchos from the dollar tree to bring with you before you go.

2. Buy necklaces and fun toys for your kids from the dollar store so you won’t have to buy things like that there and they still get special surprises.

3. Buy glowsticks from the dollar tree. She did say that not all of them work so bring a couple of extras. Plus, if you bring extras and there are some kids around you that really want some, you would have some extras to give away. (-: This will be great during the fire works display.

4. Use the kid swap where one of us goes through the ride with our older daughter, while one stays with the younger kids, then the second parent can get on the ride next with little to no wait.

5. You can bring in your own food and drinks. I am very happy about this because my kids stay thirsty. Plus, I can bring in healthy snacks for them as well. She suggested buying fruit roll ups and other snacks they don’t usually get so that they can still have special treats, but you don’t have to pay a fortune. Also, she said to bring canned drinks because they did not let her bring in bottles.

6. If you go to a restaurant with fountain drinks, they would give her cups for free water.

This is my first time going with 3 children. They will be 11, 2 and 8 months. If you have any budget saving tips or vacation tips for us, I would love to hear them and will definitely let all of the other readers know about them as well!!

Also, we are going to go to NASA and the beach for a few days afterwards. If you know of any great places to stay around there, I would love those budget saving tips as well.
