Often you will see me write about budget saving freebies. I love getting items for free in the stores, but I love it even more when it is delivered to my home!! It is amazing how many companies will give you free items or a coupon for free items. I get numerous items in the mail everyday for free. These range from magazines, food, diapers, to coupons for free frozen foods. Usually these samples have coupons, so that I am able to also buy a full size product inexpensively or for free. There are a few principles I follow when I am requesting freebies.
1. If an item is free you should never have to give out a credit card number.
2. I have an e-mail account set up to order my freebies. I do check this account since I often get coupons, however, I do not want these e-mails to interfere with my personal e-mails.
3. I do not want to get phone calls from advertisers, so I do not give out my phone number. If you don’t mind getting called, you can give your number, but I choose not to.
4. A free item should never have any strings attached, and if it does, it is not free.
5. I use a free RoboForm to fill out the forms so that it only takes me a few seconds to sign up for my free items. I did not pay for any upgrades, because the free one does everything I need.
6. I use the sample toothpastes, lotions, shampoos, comditioners, soaps, deoderants etc when I travel rather than buying travel sizes.
You would be really surprised at how these free items add up. I have gotten the equivalent of a pack of diapers over a couple of weeks. I have been able to fix an entire meal for my family out of coupons for food that I have received. I love getting the mail and being able to try all of these new items for free. I hope you are enjoying all of the budget saving freebies! For budget saving tips when shopping, click here.

Rene, you mention that on Free samples you never give your phone # to advertisers, so you don’t receive any calls from them, but some of these advertisers if you do not give out your phone # the form will not be submitted…it would keep coming back saying that all fields need to be completed….
Very true. I try putting in all 0′s or all 9′s and if that doesn’t work, unless it is something I really want, I don’t get the sample. Hope that helps!
i just started couponing a few weeks ago , im still puzzled about how to get free stuff. i go to county market and they dont double . i live in a small town. have any advise?
