Here is a quick update on my sister. She is feeling some better. Her husband got back into town from his business trip and is with her at the hospital. My mom and I are taking care of her kiddos.
I have had so much fun with 7 kids all to myself. We went out on the front porch and played and sang songs yesterday. We read lots of books. It was interesting holding 5 of them at the same time. Thank goodness for our new couches. Then we played music, and they danced all over the room. In the evening when it was time to clean up, we sang the clean up song. It is amazing how quickly two one year old and two two years olds can clean. (We gave the 2 infants the night off from cleaning, hee, hee, hee.) But we seriously have had a great time. It was fun to just be a mommy and an aunt. Because with that many kids really the only thing you can do is take care of them.
Fortunately, the night before I had fixed dinner for the next day, so I didn’t even have to cook, I just heated up my casserole. After dinner and bedtime my very brave hubby watched all of the kids by himself. I went up last night to see her, and she was in great spirits. It was nice to be able to use my nursing skills again. She will be in the hospital for at least the next couple of days. The 2 babies both slept until 5 and 5:30 this morning. All of the other kids are doing great. I loved having them all here. I could so see myself with seven kids someday. The more the merrier. Our house would be a little crowded to say the least, but it would be fun.
I actually just got a call from my sister’s hubby as I was typing this up. She is headed down to the OR right now. So, I would really appreciate you guys prayers for her and the surgeon right now. And I am going to quit typing and go say a prayer for her as well. Thanks so much!!!! ~Rene
