With Thanksgiving around the corner, I have been thinking about all of the things that I am thankful for. I have seen some people on facebook listing one thing that they are thankful for each day. I have such a huge list of things to be thankful for, that just one thing a day seems difficult. I try to wake up with a thankful heart every day. As silly as it sounds, I am thankful for my toothbrush each morning. All the way to being thankful for my wonderful hubby and kids. I figured that this might be a fun thing to do on this blog. I think that it could encourage everyone to have a thankful heart.
So, I am going to list one thing that I am thankful for each day, big or small & I would love for each of you to leave a comment as well. Here is what I am thankful for today:
A God that loves us
I would love for each of you to leave a comment as well about what you are thankful for today. I am hoping to do this daily through Thanksgiving. I think that it could be so encouraging to everyone, and I know that I would love to read your comments!!! Hey Rene – last night at church it was my night to work with the children. I wanted to do a project regarding Thanksgiving and I kept looking for a Turkey craft. Well the LORD knew what He was doing. He kept leading me to something different. We made “Thankful Pails”. I bought foam pails from AC Moore with a coupon. LOL. We wrote on them and decorated them. The assignment is to write down every night what you are thankful for and on Thanksgiving day share them with the family.
Cool God idea. I love His ideas.
So… here is mine.
I am thankful when I slow down and listen to My LORD and Savior because He does have all the right answers and wants to share them, I just need to remember to take the time to spend with Him.
What a great idea!! I am looking forward to this! Make us slow down for a second and think of something to be thankful for.

What a great idea! I am trying to teach my kids to be thankful. We will have to look at everyone’s response. This will be like a big Thanksgiving dinner where everyone goes around in a circle and lists what they are thankful for.

I am truly thankful that God new I needed this today. My husband and I have had a truly trying year, and with the death of his mother early this year these holidays have been hard to deal with. I have been trying to stay cheerful for our children, but find it difficult sometimes. This was just the thing I needed to remind me of all that I do have, and the things I need to look forward to. So thank you one and all!!
