Drying Herbs From Your Garden

Drying Herbs From Your Garden

If you don’t have a dehydrator, herbs can still be pretty easy to dry. Just do it like people did in the olden days. Pull your herbs up. Remove any yucky looking leaves. Rinse your plant off. Dry your plant really well. (You don’t want it to mold.) Hang your plants upside down in a dark, cool room and let them dry out. Sage leaves are larger and more prone to mold than other leaves. I don’t usually dry sage, but other herbs dry well. If you don’t have a really dark room. Put a brown paper bag with holes around the herbs and let them dry in there. The light can cause the leaves to discolor. Once the leaves are COMPLETELY dry. Place them in a clean glass jar to be used throughout the winter.

Coupon Reminder

Remember, it is getting close to the end of the month. You will want to make sure to print out any coupons that you might want from the coupons.com bar on the right and Red Plum before they reset on the first of the month. I actually found a place where I can print downstairs in my hotel. Thank goodness! I never realized how much I LOVE printable coupons until I wasn’t able to print them.
