peanut butter pie recipe

This was my grandaddy’s recipe for peanut butter pie. There is nothing good for you in this recipe, but man does it taste good! I loved my grandaddy’s cooking growing up. I wish that we would have preserved more of his recipes than we did. He would make the most delicious food.

I have the best memories of dinners at his house, and watching him prepare our food. We would stay for a few days, and he would treat us to tons of great recipes!! Anyway, this is one of my favorite dessert recipes from him. We actually loved it so much that we didn’t have cake for our birthdays, we always had peanut butter pie. My eldest asks for the same. She would much rather have this pie than cake. The picture above is one of the 3 pies that we made for her birthday party. She wrote a K in the pie for her name.

Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup chocolate frosting
1/4 cup karo syrup
12 oz. frozen whipped cream, slightly thawed
graham cracker crust

Combine all  ingredients and mix. Pour into a graham cracker crust. Freeze overnight. Take it out about 15 minutes before you want to serve it so that it will be easier to cut. I usually make my own crust with mashed up graham crackers and butter or crushed oreos and butter.

  10. Hi! Someone in my Myspace group shared this website with us so I came to give it a look. I’m definitely enjoying the information. I’m book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers! Superb blog and fantastic design and style.

  11. I wish to express my thanks to you for rescuing me from this type of challenge. Because of browsing through the online world and coming across techniques which are not helpful, I was thinking my entire life was gone. Being alive without the presence of approaches to the problems you have resolved all through your entire short post is a crucial case, as well as the ones that could have negatively damaged my entire career if I had not discovered the blog. Your own knowledge and kindness in maneuvering the whole thing was invaluable. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had not come across such a point like this. It’s possible to at this point look forward to my future. Thanks for your time very much for your expert and effective help. I will not be reluctant to endorse your web page to any individual who should receive care on this matter.

  13. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
