Save $.10 On Gas at #MurphyUSA With Gift Card

Murphy USA has really cheap gas in our area. I needed to run to Walmart to pick up some flour for dinner tonight, and I needed to fill the van up with gas as well. My husband and I always keep an eye on gas prices in our area, and Murphy USA always seems to have the lowest prices. But, today, I decided to snap some pictures on the way, and actually compare the prices. I was actually really surprised at how much cheaper the gas was at Murphy USA compared to other gas stations.

Gas was $3.67 at the Citgo by our house.

Gas was $3.68 at the Marathon gas station on the corner.

It was $3.65 down the road at C. It would have to be REALLY cheap for me to stop at this station with 4 kids because you can’t pay at the pump. Getting out 4 kids to go pay for gas is a pain when you just have to load them again.

Sheetz is $3.65 as well. It is also just a little further down the road.

I get to Walmart which has a Murphy USA in the parking lot. I am excited to see that Murphy USA gas is only $3.64, but I am even more excited since it is actually only $3.54 when you buy it with a gift card!

I headed to the store because I needed to buy flour. I am excited that they have unbleached flour. We have not had any white flour in the house in at least a couple of months. However, tonight we are making homemade pasta for dinner. This is my daughter’s first time helping to make it, and it is a lot easier to work with than freshly ground whole wheat. I did not even need a shopping list for this trip. How hard is it to remember flour?

I somehow managed to resist getting this lunchbox. But, I am still so excited that we will be having a football season this year!! I saw these on the way to get my gift card for gas. Aren’t they great? They can even hook onto a backpack.

I head over to the gift cards. There are plenty of gift cards to go around. These cards are bright orange so they shouldn’t get lost very easily.

I went with a pretty tulip card. Pink tulips are my favorite flowers, and they said any gift card works to get $.10 off a gallon at Murphy USA. I asked an employee if it mattered which card that I used, and she said that it did not. She was really nice as well, and told me how to use the card to get $.10 off on gas.

So, I head out of Walmart and pull straight into Murphy USA for gas. Talk about convenient!

There was even a sign on the pump to remind people to use their gift card for $.10 off a gallon.

The net price was $3.54 a gallon at Murphy USA when using a gift card. I bought $20 worth of gas using my gift card.

After shopping at Walmart & getting gas at Murphy USA, I went to go eat lunch with my folks who live about 8 minutes away from my house. My kids were begging to see their grandparents since they had been gone for a week, and who could resist those faces? I decided to check out gas prices on the way over to eat with my folks.

Wilco was very similar to the other gas stations I had seen earlier at $3.65. This was $.11 more a gallon than at Murphy USA using a gift card.

Shell was $3.74!! That is $.20 more than the price at Murphy USA with a gift card.

And, at Citgo, gas was $3.75 a gallon! This was $.21 more than the price at Murphy USA with a gift card.

So, I am now seriously convinced that purchasing a gift card and getting gas at Murphy USA is the way to go in our area. They definitely have the cheapest gas around! And, if you are running in to get something from Walmart anyway, why not just buy a gift card & get an additional $.10 off a gallon. By the way . . . even without the gift card, Murphy USA still had the cheapest gas prices anywhere that I saw.

I always get unbleached flour too; and at Thanksgiving/Christmas, it’s usually always on sale for really cheap.:) Love that 10 cents rollback!

Have to say that large part of mentioned minds is clearly perfect. Just little of them ask more to think, however thinking are not bad. Should say that is pitty that each investment requires a lot of money, still that is the reality of the environment, when we think of anything, we need to pay something aditional.
