Update: Harris Teeter just updated their coupon policy and are now accepting 2 coupons on B1G1 free sales. Yay!
Harris Teeter is another store that I shop at on occasion and can save tons of money. You will need to have a Harris Teeter store card when you use coupons.
- Harris Teeter doubles 20 coupons up to 99 cents every day.
- You can use three of the same coupon each day (if the coupon is not an Internet Print coupon).
- You can use more than 20 coupons, but only the first 20 will be doubled.
Super Double Sales At Harris Teeter
Harris Teeter occasionally has super double sales. The store will double up to 20 coupons a day per person up to $1.99. Super doubles are a great way to save money and get FREE products! You can see my tips below for the triples sales, they also apply to super doubles.
Triple Coupon Sales At Harris Teeter
Sometimes, they will have sales where they will triple coupons up to 99 cents. I always go there when they have triple coupon sales. Usually I will go for several days a week until I have used up all my applicable coupons during triple coupon sales. This allows you to save a ton of money. I save coupons for triple coupon sales. A 50 cent coupon is then worth $1.50, a 75 cents coupon is worth $2.25 etc. Add this to a sale and you can have free food.
Their coupon policy states that you may use 20 coupons per person/VIC card per day. With Harris Teeter sales, I have found that my stores are usually wiped out of all of the free food on the first day unless you get there very early. Harris Teeter restocks overnight though, and I have had good success going on the second day of the sale through the end of the sale.
I try to have my coupons selected for what I will be purchasing before I go to the store so that I can get in and out quickly. The way that I do this is by going to their website and going to Express Lane. Here I can type in the coupons that I have that I want to use and they tell me how much this item costs. I make a list of the items I will purchase and the coupons that I will use. I also note how many of each coupon I have.
You are only allowed to use 3 of the same coupons. So, if I have 6 coupons for 75 cents off of french fried onions, I know that I will have to go to the store on two separate days to get all 6 cans for free. I try to use my multiple coupons first so that I can get as much food as possible for free, rather than realizing on the last day that I have more coupons that I am allowed to use.
If you are planning on using some coupons that are $1 or more that will not be tripled, make sure that you give those after the first 20 that are less than $1. The computer will only triple the first 20 coupons. Triple coupons are a great way to save money on your budget.
