I received a copy of Edward P. Moser’s A Patriot’s A to Z of America: Things Every Good American Should Know to review. The book is set up in alphabetical order and covers 60 topics or individuals that the author feels every American should be a aware of. It is a good supplemental book that lays out details much like an encyclopedia would. The difference is that it is obviously very focused on American history. Some of the topics include: landing on the moon, Clara Barton, D-Day, Gettysburg, American Music origins, September 11, just to name a few. The author has done a good job of selecting the 60 topics that he covers across a wide spectrum of choices.
This book would be a good supplemental book to go to if you are doing research on American History or if you wanted an overview of important events and people within American History that have helped to shape our country as it is today. The book is only 286 pages long, so it is an easy read. I would say that the target audience of the book is probably youth and adults from the layout and writing. So, all in all, a decent book that you might want to check out if you get a chance.
