As all of you know, I love getting organic products, and I love gardening organically, so I am very excited about this giveaway! Organic Valley and Nature’s Path Organic cereal are giving away free one year subscription to Organic Gardening Magazine when you send in 2 UPC’s AND they will enter you for a chance for a years worth of organic food!! I would LOVE to win that. I wanted to share with all my readers so you would have a chance to win too. Click here for the details. I hope one of us wins, but at least we can all get the free magazine!

Also, in return, Nature’s Path and Organic Valley will make a generous contribution of up to $50,000 to the Rodale Institute’s Farmers Can Be Heroes program.

My parents are organic farmers, and I really think that that is very important so I am glad to see that they will be giving back like that.

Garden vegetables

My budget saving garden is coming in. We had salad for lunch with all different types of lettuce. Then for supper we had sugar snap peas, one of my favorites. I even came home and made a snack tonight with rice noodles, bean sprouts, chili peppers and sugar snap peas. Yummy!! Lots of fresh, organic veggies for free. I love gardening!!! My parents, grandparents and my family all work on the garden, so we are able to have a larger one. I have attached a picture of part of the garden taken a couple weeks ago. The frugal, health nut part of me loves the summer when we can basically eat for free. We also were able to buy a quarter of a grass fed, organic cow so we really should not have to spend any money on food soon other than a few staples. We are fortunate to also have access to range fed chickens that produce lots of eggs. Are any of you growing a budget saving garden, if so I would love to hear about it!
