I absolutely love homeschooling! My husband and I have been blessed with four wonderful children so far that are in preschool through 8th grade. I have been homeschooling since my eldest was in 3rd grade.
We had been praying about homeschooling for years, and finally when our eldest daughter was starting 3rd grade, we were able to begin homeschooling.

What Is Homeschooling & Why Homeschool?
Socialization for Homeschoolers
One of the first questions that people ask is what about socialization for homeschoolers? My homeschoolers have SO much socialization, that we have learned that there is no way that we can participate in every activity that is available.
Curriculum We Use or Have Used
There are many curriculums available. You can get free curriculum or pay quite a bit of money for curriculum for your kids. I have tried out many different curriculums over the years, and have finally found ones that seem to be a perfect fit for our family.
We use Math U See for math and apologia for science in elementary, middle and high school. In the past we have used Amblesideonline.org for literature and history. However, this year we will start Tapestry of Grace. You can check out my review of Tapestry of Grace here.
Here are a few other books/curriculum that we have enjoyed:
- ClickN Kids
- Economics – Whatever Happened to Penny Candy
- Typing – Mavis Beacon
- Foreign Language – Rosetta Stone
- Logic – The Critical Thinking Company
- Ambleside Online.org
